Beyond Building Connection, Education Is Key.

The Jewellery Collective does not only aim to impact the lives of those in the jewellery industry through networking and social capital. Nurturing an environment where advice and knowledge is gladly shared without expecting anything in return and professionals can develop is in the DNA of The Jewellery Collective.

Therefore The Jewellery Collective is proud to be a registered Community Interest Company (CIC registered #15052282). Becoming a not-for-profit organisation was incredibly important to founder Kassandra as she sees this venture as a community asset. All profits from sponsors or membership subscriptions are reinvested into The Jewellery Collective and the people it supports.

Providing recognised independent continuing professional development (CPD) accreditation compatible with global adds an additional layer of professional practise to The Jewellery Collective events. Not only are they an excellent social and networking opportunity to forge connections to improve small businesses but they encourage individuals to develop professionally with a practical and methodical approach to enhance work-related skills and knowledge. In turn, those who take up the accreditation are able to utilise key features of membership to help support their business, marketing and training objectives.

Higher levels of professionalism and access to training resources will mean, in the long term, stronger businesses breaking through into the industry leading to a more productive and profitable industry for all involved.

Knowledge Sharing by Experts

I loved being part of the panel discussion. It was a lively, informative, engaged the audience, and really well attended. We need more of these events to bring our industry together on issues that we all face.

Accessing expert knowledge can be one of the most difficult parts of running a business. It is important to us to open conversations with professionals of all types to educate and inspire our community. Panel discussions are integral to achieving this and we aim to cover a multitude of topics in the future. After attending one of our panel events, jewellery designer Charlotte Cornelius remarked, "the panel were all very knowledgeable but accessible." Not only can attendees gain invaluable knowledge but even the industry panelists benefit though being exposed to so many different perspectives and backgrounds in one environment.

Recent panelist and general manager of Mastermelt, Gary Williams, thought the June 2023 panel event "was literally overflowing with people from across the industry, all attending to learn... One conversation or one piece of information could solve a problem and help transform your business." We could not possibly deliver the unique value offered by The Jewellery Collective Forum events without the industry experts who volunteer their time and share their knowledge. We cannot thank them enough.

It was a great experience, very well organised and touched on important subjects. Overall it was a perfect mixture of fun and important work on moving the industry to better practices.
